Jump'In Double Jointed Lifter Bit for Horse Blue Steel

Composition : Blue Steel. The alloy Blue Steel that covers this range of bits Jump'In is made up of 54% carbon and 46% manganese.

Effect : It influences the horse's balance by forcing it to rebalance and shift its weight towards the hindquarters. The larger the rings, the more significant the effect of the lifter will be. The tube system between the rings and the mouthpiece provides better sliding and helps avoid pinching. The bits Blue Steel oxidise upon contact with air and moisture. A fine layer of rust appears, which has a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production. With more saliva, the horse makes better contact with its bit. During this oxidation process, the colour will change to grey/brown.

Usage advice : This bit requires special cheek pieces and can be used directly, with loops or in a four-rein setup. It is ideal for horses that are too bitted and for a rider wanting to retrain their horse. This alloy will oxidise over time and thus rust, which will help relax the horse during work. The copper inlays as well as the copper rings on the central joint also promote relaxation in the mouth.
