Jump'In Double Jointed Lifter Bit for Horse

Composition : Blue Steel. The Blue Steel alloy covering this range of bits Jump'In is made up of 54% carbon and 46% manganese.

Effect : It impacts the horse's balance by forcing it to rebalance and shift its weight to the hindquarters. The larger the rings, the more significant the action of the lifter will be. The double-jointed mouthpiece makes this bit more comfortable in the mouth by relieving the discomfort at the palate. Blue Steel bits oxidize when exposed to air and moisture, resulting in a fine layer of rust with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production. With increased salivation, the horse gains more contact with the bit. During this oxidation process, the color will change to grey/brown.

Usage advice : This bit can be used with reins fixed to the lower ring, with cuffs, or with two pairs of reins. The lifter is well-suited for horses that need to correct a balance issue. Its mouthpiece size is slightly thinner than a standard mouthpiece, allowing for a bit more finesse in what you're trying to achieve.
