With its matte black shell and leather finish in brown or black, the Reference helmet is understated and classic. Its timeless design adds to the comfort of a breathable helmet. This helmet meets European and American standards, allowing the rider to ride safely.

In case of stock shortage, delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks for size L.

The Reference collection is the version of the helmet Antarès in its most understated and discreet version. The shell is completely matte, and the details are chromed.

Personalisation of your Antarès helmet

If you want, you can change the colours of the strips, the headband, and the triangle of this model to have a unique helmet. In its classic version, its elements are chromed. Composition of your Reference Race riding helmet

The shell

The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy of an impact across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell spreads the shockwave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is recognised for its great resistance to scratches.

The inner lining

Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy produced by the impact by contracting. The inner lining thus becomes much more dense. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To observe the consequences of an impact on the inner lining, please consult our blog post.

The vents

Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide a good airflow. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.

The retention system

The harness ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shaped fixing system has points that are further apart, which reduces helmet rotation. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles are made of POM.

Helmet pads

In contact with the rider's head, the high-quality foams ensure a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether the shape of your head is round or oval, they will conform to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the cleanliness of the helmet. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified and washable by hand in warm water.

The foams are sold with the helmet.

The cross visor

The short visor has been designed to meet the requirements of jockeys in horse racing and protect the rider in case of a fall. The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the bending of the visor when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visor of Antarès helmets is therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually reshaped to restore its original form.

The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and transporting your helmet easily. It is designed with every detail in mind, featuring a large central pocket and a big zip to facilitate the storage of the helmet.
