A synergy between the effect of a tongue passage and the benefits of the butterfly bit. The profile of the bit beris KONNEX is more elongated. The bit sits very comfortably in the horse's mouth, offering more space, while the arch widens considerably at the bit KONNEX. Suitable for horses with a narrow mouth, such as thoroughbreds or older horses (due to changes in dentition), horses with a large tongue, and especially horses that are sensitive to pressure applied to the tongue. When pulled more powerfully, the second set of reins attached to the gag bit causes the bit to lower and lift in the mouth: the effect is thus amplified. This system is very well suited for horses that tend to lean on the bit. It is also useful for achieving a greater uplift.
