Description of the Premium helmet

The Premium helmet has a shell with a glossy finish. For an elegant design, the colour of the leather and the shell are matched. It is available in 5 shell colours. Its timeless design adds to the comfort of a breathable helmet. Meeting European and American standards, it allows the rider to ride safely. The Eclipse visor provides a chic and elegant finish to the helmet. Its size, larger than a classic visor, protects you from the sun during your riding sessions in the arena or outdoors.

The Premium collection offers a high-gloss finish in five shell colours: blue, black, bison, grey, and carbon. The Premium helmet from Antarès is characterised by its shiny shell combined with leather inserts and harness.

• The shell
  The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the impact energy over the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell spreads the shock wave by dissipating it. Sturdy and lightweight, it is known for its great scratch resistance.

• The inner padding
  Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy released by the impact by contracting. The padding thus becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To observe the effects of an impact on the padding, check out our blog post.

• The ventilation
  Its 4 front vents and 2 rear exhausts provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.

• The retention system
  The harness ensures a good hold of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shape of the fixation system has points positioned further apart, which reduces the rotation of the helmet. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles from POM. Bonus: the harnesses Antarès are made from leather sourced from cut-offs of their custom saddles. Stylish and responsible!

• The helmet pads/foam
  In contact with the rider's head, the high-end foams allow for a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will complement your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet's cleanliness. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and can be hand-washed in warm water.

The Antarès helmet has CE marking and SEI certification

The European standard EN1384-2017 requires the visor to bend when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of Antarès helmets are therefore deliberately flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually reshaped to return it to its original form.

Helmet Composition

The Antarès helmet consists of:

• A shell (available in 2 sizes S – M)
• A SET A of foams (which are placed at the bottom of the helmet and at the front) included in the helmet price

The "head size" pads set (set B) to adjust the shell to the head circumference, which determines the helmet size is not included in the helmet price and must be purchased separately.
These foams go on the sides. Set B is available in 4 thicknesses: 4 – 8 – 12 and 16 mm. The back part of the "head size" pad is removable to allow a bit more room for a ponytail or to tuck hair inside the helmet.

• Size S shell fits foam sizes 53 to 56
• Size M shell fits foam sizes 56 to 59

Foams:

• Thickness 4: for helmets in 56S or 59M
• Thickness 8: for helmets in 55S or 58M
• Thickness 12: for helmets in 54S or 57M
• Thickness 16: for helmets in 53S or 56M

Care

The foams can be washed in warm water or in a washing machine at 30 degrees, and should not be tumble dried.

Warranty

You have a 5-year warranty from the helmet's manufacturing date to request a revision of your helmet.

Please note: Antarès helmets are rounder in shape; if you have a more oval head, we recommend choosing a size larger.
