The bridle bit is used on a bridle with a bridle thread (2-ring, olive or Baucher). It has a lowering effect through its lever. The canon can be bridged or tongue-tied. The canon slides over the temples by 10 to 15 mm. This relative independence of the canon encourages the horse to play with its bit, chew its mouthpiece, mobilize its mouth and relax its jaws.
